Hi Terry, Glad to see your eye caught the wide legs as well. It seemed rather off to me but I aligned each strut correctly and that was the angle at which they appeared. Each strut has a little support that extends towards the back of the plane and it had a place designated for that. It does...

Hi Andy, Just saw your NMF P51 and what a gem. What was your process for the decal application over the Alclad? In the past I have used future to give the decals a better surface to stick to but it came at the expense of the natural shine.

Glenn, I entirely agree with disregarding Academy decals when you build the next P-40. I didn't know better and wish I would of went aftermarket. After I slid the decal off the sheet and onto the plane it simply curled up and fell off. Never again will I use Academy decals!!! Corey

    1/72 Academy P40-E Aleutian Tiger

Hi all, Happy to say I have finished one in the midst of my inactivity at the bench. Standard OOB - panels filled in with lead pencil, light oil panel highlights, and some pastel work. Nothing too glamorous. If you were wondering.. Academy continues to support the rumors and claims of their...

    1/48 P-40M

Looking great there Andy. I have always been wary of the spray can approach for lack of control, but it always seemed quicker and more efficient if the masks held. You have accomplished this in a splendid manner. Crack of the bat aye aye!

It has the plating too so enamel and lacquer based wont bite into the material over time. Got the .2 and .4 nozzles so I'm hoping to step up the painting process.

With my Aztek coming to it's inevitable end, it was time to make an investment. Proud to be the new owner of the Evolution airbrush silverline. Also got the cleaning kit and a 1/72 wildcat for giggles. Waiting on the new hose to fire this up..! :D

Heya Wayne, what's the best method to ensure that struts and other hanging attachments line up evenly? I've always struggled with getting the legs to be the proper alignment to each other and overall for where they should be. Any input on the matter would help tons! Cheers

    1/48 Accurate Miniatures TBF/M Avenger

I got it a few years ago and it intimidated me at first. I've never had so much nice detail and I've managed to keep most of it thus far. A few rivets have been lost (don't tell the counters) but overall the seams are filled and I think it will be easy sailing for prepping it!
