    IMAM Ro 37/Ro 37

I just found another picture. A frontal one. These pics were all taken in Albania (Scutari). I love the Meridionali planes. My favourite is the Ro.57bis, I.M.H.O. the most stylish attack plane of the WWII.

    IMAM Ro 37/Ro 37

A lucky find. :) I was wondering if the photo is a recolour of a b/w pic or it's just a little faded.

    IMAM Ro 37/Ro 37

There is plenty of material about the Ro.37. Just do a Google search. Here is an interesting site with the history of this plane: Mussolini's Maid of All Work: the IMAM Ro 37 and Its Derivatives

    Best Tank Destroyer/ self-propelled gun

Thanks for the remark, Kris. Actually, in the Regio Esercito the "semoventi" self-propelled guns were used often in the role of tank destroyers, but you are absolutely right, they're not properly tank destroyers.

    Best Tank Destroyer/ self-propelled gun

Some fine designs of self-propelled guns in WWII were italians. English writers agree that english tank crews feared these weapons far more than italian tanks in the desert battles. But, as other good italian weapons of the war, they suffered for the scarce production numbers. However, they...

    Adriano Visconti: Italy's top ace

Actually, in WWII there were about 120 italian aces that shot down at least 5 enemy planes. And most of them, until 1943 were flying with Fiat CR42, G50, and Macchi 200. Not the state of the art at the time.
