P-51 with a pair of buzzbomb engines attached?

That's' what I was thinking RichardSuhkoi. I haven't heard of the Ukraine project. Mods for safe landing would be good Snautzer01 =)

    Engine torque output

This is actually a good question about peak torque. I think one would have to look into unlimited hydroplane racing or tractor pulling for the Allison V-12 for example. They have to tune those things somehow. Why not on some kind of Dynamometer? I'm not aware of any ground/water sport using any...

    Fighter by Vne speed

I had the idea of using a more powerful engine/prop combination and flat-rate it to a higher cruise speed. I've just started researching aircraft V speeds and found I needed a place to start when comparing designs. Picture a XP-51 (491mph max) with a turbo-prop that could generate 2300...

    Fighter by Vne speed

I'd like to use an existing airframe design and a newer engine and prop to get a 400 mph cruise. Say a Supermarine Spiteful and a P-3 Orion turboprop.

I'm interested to see which piston fighter had the highest "do not exceed" rating. All countries and prototypes.

    400 MPH aircraft

That racing fuel must be murder to change plugs like that.

    400 MPH aircraft

I wonder how fast the Supermarine S.6B Schneider Trophy seaplane would be without the floats and a CP propeller...?
