I believe this is a PR IC. It does not have the characteristic large chin of the F type. P9385 started as a PR IC before conversion . There is a series of photos of this aircraft flown by Fl.Lt A L Taylor

They were initially fitted with either Merlin III and/or Merlin XII engines - the early PR Spitfires were often modified on site.
