  • I do have a lot of aircraft photos. Grumman F6F Hellcat, Grumman J2F Duck, Martin JM-1 (B-26C) Marauder, Grumman TBF Avenger, Martin PBM Mariner, and Consolidated PBY-5A. Lots of the JM-1, J2F, and a few TBF. Let me know which you are interested in and how to get them to you. The quality varies. Some are military photos and some are personal photos.
    Concerning: C-47A Dakota, 42-92990.

    My dad was in the 51st TCS from 11/1944 to 11/1945 and was a co-pilot of a C-47. He flew out of Brindisi and prob Naples. I would love to find more information on the service of the 51st TCS and would appreciate it if you could share information or point me in the right direction to find unit histories, etc. He took a few pictures but none had a plane with a tail number.

    I recommend the book "The Douglas DC-3, the First Seventy Years" By Jennifer Gradidge, which is considered the bible of all things DC-3,
    I have my pictures of the plane that crashed on Eniwetok Island, My father was in the Seabees on the island and i have his Crews Book, the pictures are not real good because of the age of the book
