Good afternoon , first post , please could anyone help with ID this aluminium plate that i have found at the end of the runway at former RAF Oakley

Actually neither the prefix of the part number is listed nor the factory inspection stamp. However the prefix 4** was used for the Wellington and Warwick aseries. The stamp could be of the Short & Harland factory. The number "41" may be the year of production or the part number. Also it could be the 41 = Marine craft spares. But I'm afraid that may not be an aircraft part.

Wellingtons used to fly out of there during WWII. I used to play on that site as a kid, lived not far from it at Wheatley, a short cycle ride away.
