I apologize for the poor quality and number of photos. Please understand that I was often in a rush and distracted when flying around there! 16 March 2005.

Yes, I know--not an airplane! But it was so jarring to run across this thing on Camp Taji I had to throw it in. I have no idea about how it got there.

M24 Chaffee light tank.

Although both Iran and Iraq had M24s prior to the Iran-Iraq War, there is no report of their use in that conflict.

Well, afaik, most of American ww2 equipment that Iran had, belonged to 92nd Armored Division, in Ahvaz, Khuzestan province. Among those, were M24s, M8s and some other vehicles, mostly used as static statues, museum pieces, training, and other similar jobs / uses.
