It occurred to me that Boeing seemed to only use Wright motors on the B-17 and B-29. I'm wondering if any of the Pratts would have been compatible with those airplanes.

The R-1830 was an option to the R-1820 on most other manufacturers aircraft but there was no Pratt in the R-3350 size range.

Douglas, Lockheed and NAA produced Pratt and Wright versions of many of their offerings

The prototype B-17 used Pratt & Whitney R-1690 Hornet engines. The Hornet was rather problematic, likely leading to the change to the more reliable Cyclone.

I believe the same people owned and operated - directly or indirectly - Wright Aeronautical Corporation and Boeing. And many other things...
