Just out of interest, does anyone know how many intercepting aircraft were shot down during the whole war on all fronts by bombers shooting back?
Also, which bombers were statisticaly the best armed (how many planes did they shoot down, for every loss of their own caused by an intercepter or other enemy aircraft, not aa guns for example)?
Finally, did any bomber vs bomber dogfights ever accidentally occur which didn't involve ground attacking or modified fighters or Mossies?
