... a good looking ship. Better than the Curtis Helldiver, IMO. Too bad Brewster was such a basket case of a manufacturer.

From what I've read, the SB2A was worse than the SB2C. All stayed stateside used for training with a few being fitted with a wing mounted radome for the USMC as a radar trainer. Many years ago one was allegedly near a runway in the woods in Tennessee.

I don't think it was alleged. Saw an article on them, evidently there were more than one. IIRC it formed the basis for a restoration that was started by ex-Brewster employees in PA or NJ. Later taken over by the US Navy and is in their aviation museum in Pensacola.
