After thinking about a couple of posts I posted in the technical section about P-51 engine intake differences and XP-51 lightweight and P-51H windscreen differences, I thought of this last night based on various discussions about cannon armament for the Mustang and if there was a "universal wing" that allowed for up to 6 .50 MGs or 4 20mm cannons, or combinations there of (1-2 .50s and 1 20mm per wing). Would such a thing be possible, and how much redesign would it take?
