cradle mount cal .50 aircraft?

I found this "cradle" or "mount" for browning .50

Is it possible that it came from WW2 aircraft

If anybody coul help to find informations, pics, date,... it would be nice,

Looks more like a mount from a military vehicle, possibly relatively modern - 1950's onwards?
