I am researching an aircrash at Thorp Arch on the 26th.April 1941 .
My brother Sgt.Pilot Frederick Charles Crozier 908262 and rear gunner Sgt.Pilot George Bell 802438 wre killed in their Defiant aircraft N.1568
They were part of No. 54 Operational Training Unit ,based at Church Fenton airbase on a night flying exercise when they were attacked by a JU 88 and then crashed behind the church at Thorp Arch.
Maybe someone has a photograph of that aircraft type or photographs of people at the base during those times.
Any help is of interest to me ,however small
