Doolittle Raider in Russia

Hello!!

I'm trying to find out more information on the B-25B/Mitchell that went down in Russia following the Doolittle Raid in 1942. Specifically, I know what happened to the crew, but what happened with the aircraft? Was it taken somewhere and do any pictures of the aircraft exist? Is it still around at a museum somewhere?

I know what plane you're talking about. History says it was destroyed in a hanger fire in the late 40's, early 50's in the USSR.

The B-29 became obsolete when the first B-36s entered service....

I don't know if the B25 had the Norden but if it did, no doubt they would find it very interesting

In Lend lease, the Russians got lots of B25's. So whats the big deal?

The Doolittle raiders did not carry a Norden.
