Hello!!

I'm trying to find out more information on the B-25B/Mitchell that went down in Russia following the Doolittle Raid in 1942. Specifically, I know what happened to the crew, but what happened with the aircraft? Was it taken somewhere and do any pictures of the aircraft exist? Is it still around at a museum somewhere?

Thank you very much for any assistance you can provide!!!

I know what plane you're talking about. History says it was destroyed in a hanger fire in the late 40's, early 50's in the USSR.

Of course that's what the russians will tell you... "uh, it broke. you can't have it back."

just kiddin, just kiddin
