Airspeed Horsa Assault Glider DP288 No 21 Heavy Glider Conversion Unit at Brize Norton Nr 19 yoke type tow rope Ca.1942.
DP288 can be seen to have a black fin and rudder. This Horsa arrived at HGCU August 17 1942 and remained with the unit until transferred for experimental work to RAE Farn- borough on December 5 1944. Two days later it was struck off effective flying charge (IWM).
