I suspect that P-35 is from the 94th Pursuit Squadron of the 1st Pursuit group. It was based at Selfridge Field Michigan when it was equipped with the P-35 from 1937-40, before moving to El Paso Texas in 1940. The Grey Skies, flat ground, and the Buildings in the background all look like South East Michigan in the Winter/Spring.
Great set of Pictures, hard to tell if the P-35 had the RMLG fail before or after it left the Runway, but I suspect after, about the same time it ht the ditch that stopped it! But it looks like the right wing was dragging the ground, and with no Left wheel tracks visible it looks like it was quite the ride with the rt wing low and only the right MLG in contact with the runway!
