Thanks for your response and image which confirms your finding. I thought this was the case, but didn't want to speculate what it was. I was given this part by a group in France who perform sanctioned recovery activities, called the Association Normande du Souvenir Ariene 1939-1945. The part was presented to me together with the attached document at a recent ceremony in Beaumont-Le-Roger in France.
