"External Power Receptacle"

Hello,

a while ago I found some parts near a former WW2 air base in Southern Germany.
Most are German but the lid on the top left is obviously American.
Does someone know what aircraft it belonged to?

Without a part number its anyones guess.

Give it a good clean with soapy water and a SOFT brush and look for a string of numbers or numbers and letters about 5 or 6mm high stamped into the metal. Also look for inspection stamps about the same size or a little larger.
