F4U fuel capacity question

Hi all,

Many sources pertaining to the F4U series point out that when they built the F4U-1C/-1D and subsequent variants, they deleted the 62 gal. wing fuel tanks used on the F4U-1/-1A.

I have one question about this: did the F4U-1D and later variants retain provisions for the wing tanks?

From what I've read, there was no provision for internal wing tanks after the deletion happened. However, the wing tanks were installed on the Super Corsair, this time in self-sealing form, capacity 32.5 gals each.
