F7F fire bomber rebuild

About 5-6 years ago, I talked with someone rebuilding an F7F fire bomber that crashed. Does anyone know who that may be, I have lost his contact info.

Any idea as to where he was located? Of the known 'cats, there were 4 or 5 that crashed, but most of them went down 40+ years ago, and were scrapped if they were even recovered. I can ask on another board I'm on, when I get home, later today.

Fighter Rebuilders did one in exactly the same scheme numbered 374. They look very much like twins.

Jim Slattery, I think. Might be wrong.
