On a lot of videos of Il-2, Finnish a/c are sporting the (historically correct) blue swastika in a white circle background, but in my version ("1946") the Finnish roundel is the post-war blue circle on a white bacground.

Was the Swastika present on earlier versions, or is this a mod? And Why would they use the post-war roundel, if it's historically incorect?

The roundel replaces the Finnish swastika on the game's stock skins, even though it has an entirely different representation, it's still seen as a Nazi symbol by most folks.

So the people that produced IL-2 opted to replace it with the roundel and eliminate the Nazi swastika from axis aircraft.

You'll notice that only third-party repaints have the correct Finnish insignia, and the swastika on German aircraft.

I kinof thought that would be it, but I honestly didn't notice the missing markings on the German a/c...
