Four Engined He 177 w/ Level-Headed Specs

i feel like a 4 engine do-217 variant would end up being a better plane than the he-177.
Or get Me-264's wings on a he-177 fuselage, germany had tons of spare jumo-211s by 1945, they certainly could be built.
Use them on the eastern front mainly, don't waste them on baby blitzes, give hitler the v-1 and v-2 for it.
Something like a smaller scale eisenhammer could do a lot of damage even in '44.

Yes the Do 217 had a bit too weak engines even with the DB 603. But on the other hand I think they had some projects with the DB 606 / 610 but .. that required practically a new plane. In addition, the structure is a little too small for a 4-motor so It would be better to put something in the Jumo 222A class of approx. 2k HP, and ... we are back on bomber B. In that case, the Ju 288 is a better bet so (and had been flown with double Daimler engine )...

Actually, awhile back I did some graphic art and thought of the idea of creating something that had the forward fuselage similar to the Do 317 since it kind of had some similarities to the He 177. While I lost the image, I'm whipping up something now to this effect.

In addition to cited names, the propeller was lifted off the Avro Lincoln and courtesy of Darth Panda & Sheepster; the nacelle was based on the Me 109F and courtesy of Nighthunter and Radome; the nacelle panelling was based on the He 100 which came from Nighthunter as well.

I'm not sure what turret set up is best but, if I had to make a guess: If the plane was fast enough, I would assume they wouldn't have needed the additional mid-upper turret.
