Have been searching my reference material for incidents that the later model Mavis H6K4 conducted night operations...especially at the time of the Coral Sea during WWII. Anyone have any material on their exploits? Considering their capability to be in the air for almost 24hours, it seems reasonable that the boats would have taken-off in the night to search an area in maximum daylight...but I have no concrete info that they conducted such operations. Appreciate anything you folks can come up with.
