Hawker hunter info please.

Hi
Can anyone assist me on as much information as possible on this joystick/control. I believe it to be from a Hawker hunter and that's as far as I go. any thanks.

Doesn't look quite right for a Hunter, the Hunter's grip looks more slender and taller, but it may be the camera angle. Any chance of a pic full side on, and front and rear, not wide angle ?

Hmm. There are similarities, but I'm not sure it's a Hunter grip, which was more curved off to the left, with a different top and control buttons etc.
Someone here can possibly identify it from the part numbers - Tony (Rocketeer) would be the person, as he has Hunter cockpits, but he hasn't been around for a while.

Nice grip, it's off a Swift, not a Hunter. I'd be interested if want to swap or sell.

I've looked further, and thought it might be from a Swift, but I was unable to confirm - so a bit of a rare one, and nice !

It is quite exotic. I've got the same mark, but without a brake lever.

Nearest I got was sitting in a Swift cockpit simulator back in the early 1980's - that's what prompted me to check out the Swift control column grip !

That must have been a treat! I only got to stand by the one at Sheppards surplus in Herefordshire back in the eighties. Jet Art did an amazing job of restoring it.

The simulator was at the small museum in the old railway sidings at Tatershall, near Coningsby, which I think has now closed or moved. Did a quick visit during my visits to the BBMF, when I was photographing an AV presentation.
