It is Christmas Eve and the boss went to see her kids a day early. I am babysitting the heard and will be meeting her in the morning. To fill the day, I have gather several photos through the years of the heavy Hitters. Here is the first batch.

I will fast forward a little. Fifi from the 70s, 80s and 90s. The last image is the Spirit of Fort Worth from the 90s. My other photos of her were damaged when the house flooded.

A new favorite, B18. A relatively unknown bomber that initially beat out the B17 due to cost. Obsolete at the start of the war but was perfect for Anti submarine patrol in the Pacific, Atlantic and Gulf coast. Low speed, good range and large payload made it perfect for fighting subs. Also used as the test bed for new weapons systems.
