Help identifying aircraft part

Hello, I was hoping someone could help identify this part and what plane it came off of.

It's similar to the nose escape hatch on the B-25 Mitchell, although not identical, due to the arrangement of the glazing (see below), but this might have been 'panelled' with alloy sheet for some reason.
But if that's a date in the stamped numbers shown, this is past the production runs for this aircraft. However, the numbers might help someone to identify it.
EDIT: Just remembered, the TB-25L was produced in 1952, and this was a trainer version for multi-engine pilot training.

Yes! You are right the black on it appears to have been painted covering the full window. (unknown why?) Those numbers only appear on the window but there are some other numbers on the pieces. (62-310495 located on small rectangular door) (62-310517 on pull latch) Unsure if they mean anything. This was acquired from a crew chief that worked on p40's so I was stuck on that route. The shape and apparent size of the frames, and the arrangement of the pull handle on the inside, are identical to the B-25, and I think it's more than likely that it is a B-25 escape hatch. The black paint wouldn't normally be associated with the type in USAAF (or other air forces) service, but the RCAF, for example, had B-25 trainers with wide black diagonal stripes over either yellow or bare metal finish, with the foremost stripe in the area of the nose and nose glazing, so it's possible that could be the reason, or maybe painted when in civilian use, who knows ?
