Just to be clear, it's from a beach somewhere on planet earth?

If it's a beach in England, it's from a Spitfire.
If it's a beach in Germany, it's from a Bf-109.
If it's a beach in Japan, it's from a Zero.
If it's a beach in the USA, it's from a J-3 Cub.

Come on man!!! Give us something to work with.

The contry is norway :) and the island this was washed ashore is godøya located in ålesund.

Can this part be from an arado 66 sea plane ?

I agree. The part looks like the trim tab. Judging by the pics of that it has the metal skin so the Ar-66 is not the bird it is from. Neither ailerons nor tails didn't have a such trim tab.

Ok... what's this and what is stamped on there?

Is it possible the planes with skin did have trim tabs in aluminium ? I will check for stamps/Numbers

After a bit of digging, the part looks like it is a rudder trim tab from an Arado AR196. The Arado 66 had fabric trim tabs.
Came to this conclusion as Luftwaffe Norway web site has:
18/10/43 by Alesund AR196A-3 of 1(F)/131 crashed LT Werner Gielert and Obgfr Karle Hesse both killed. Werk No. 0222 coded 8L+WH
23/11/43 Alesund AR196A-3 of 1(F)/131 crashed No injuries. Werk No. 0263 coded 8L+XH
Also off Alesund were two BF109G's but the trim tab is a different set up.

IMHO it is not a part from the Ar 196. The trailing edge would be more rounded and the tab actuator and its pivot arm with the hinge would be attached higher. Secondly the trim tab of Ar 196 would be of the RLM 70/71 or 72/73 but not of the dark grey paint , the remnants we may notice. Although the green colours may look like that getting older in time. Also the bottom tip of the part suggests that the tab was attached in the way it wasn't a part of the rudder trailing edge( for instance ) only. The trim tab that could fit a such attaching way, seems to be the one of the He 111. Certainly it may be a part of the stabilizer. But again not from the Ar 196.

Apologies, scrap the Arado 196 idea, the trim tab crank on the 196 is on the Port side. I agree with Wurger, looks very He 111 as in the page from the rigging manual. Question is now which Heinkel came down near there.

Rather no. The trim tab actuator was on the port side and in the middle of the height/length of the tab. Also it didn't have the tip of the shape like your has. The elevator trim tab also looked different as well.

Ok thanks for the help. I see that the nearest heinkel 111 crash i have found is storholmen lighthouse , 10NM from godøya /alnes. Long way for that part to travel

The part looks like spending a lot of time in the see. Unless it was found buried. If it was not, the sea currents could move it from everywher, even from the sea bottom.

Could have been trawled up by a fishing boat and dumped when clearing the nets several hours later. We had a nearly complete Corsair trawled up in the 1980's near here, the boat had to drag it twenty KM to harbour to get it released.
