HELP ID'ING PROP BLADE

Hi- First time poster. I'm a pilot and WWII collector, but I just recently found your forum!

I actually came across this prop blade in a Goodwill store a few days ago, believe it or not and paid next to nothing for it! The guy in charge said that it came a WWII-era aircraft, but didn't know anything about who donated it, etc.

Its a 6101A-24 with a ton of stampings that you guys would probably be able to recognize better than me. I've taken pictures of all of them. I've seen lots of references to DWG 6101A-12 and -14 blades, but nothing to a -24.

Does anyone know what this might have come off of? Thanks so much for any help you can give!

It is a Hamilton Standard 6101A-24 blade as you said. I suspect that it was longer at one time and cut down in diameter after some use or for repair. These blades are used in the 2D30, 12D40 and 3D40 model propellers, in various blade length of "-0", which would be a basic 10 foot in diameter to a "-24", which would be a basic 8 feet in diameter. I have seen and worked on the blades in -6 to -20, on various aircraft. I cannot find any aircraft that uses a -24. The PT 17 could use a -22 blade as a minimum diameter.
The -24 blade should be about 4 feet in length.
The blade shank is marked as change letter "K", which makes it a very early production blade without a chafing ring, I do not know the exact year they changed, but suspect late 1930's, or very 1940's.
