Hi all
Found these two items on a recent trip to germany at the ruins of an old luftwaffe base, I know they are small pieces but wondered if anyone had any ideas on:-
1. What bits they may be, the thing that looks like a blanking plate or cover is broken / bent it should be a circle with a mounting hole each side, hope you can see that from the pics.
2. The secone piece look like a corner piece due to the noticeable curves on it.
Any pointers very much appreciated was nice to find a couple of bits.
Thanks
Mark
Managed to straighten part and its not the shape i thought it was see attached pics, i think it is broken in half so have drawn it mirrored in case someone recognised it.
Hi Mark,
This distinctive part is an exhaust blank for a DB600/601/605 engine. These blanks were fitted to engines in store, on delivery and when removed from the aircraft, such as for overhaul.
Cheers

Thanks Mark,
I am pleased to help with the information that I have. I only recently joined this site and I noticed that there were quite a few parts id questions that I could help with.
I think it is good if parts can be identified correctly, or at least as closely as posssible. I hope that more people will be encouraged to post their questions. hopefully with photo's. There must be thousands of parts out there to id but, I understand how it can be a bit daunting to actually post a question.
Cheers
