I didn't have a lot of time to read so I have only read of 40% of the book by now. Seem very interesting, I really like the fact that author go over many design decision of different aircraft and explain why

Well thanks for the positive feedback, and if you have any questions related to the book or its contents, then don't hesitate to ask.

And the issue of design decisions is as you say interesting: Because while a lot of people will often attribute a successful design solely to the designer, the designer's freedom to do his work is actually to a large degree controlled by the people who write the design requirement specification, and which is why I have a whole chapter in the book dedicated to this issue.

In addition, in some cases the company's face outward is hailed as the genius behind the design, while in reality, it may actually have been someone else's foresight that led to the aircraft being as successful as it was. For example, to me it seems that Robert Lusser should be given greater credit for the Bf 109 than is usually the case.
