How would the Fw190 have performed with the BMW 8028 engine with two-stage supercharger?

Was P.8028 simply a BMW 801 D with a two stage supercharger, or was it something else?

Cutaway vaguely points out that it was a BMW 801, with an auxiliary S/C added. Air, compressed by the aux S/C, was to be cooled via intercooler under the engine proper, and then fed to the engine-stage S/C.
Hopefully Snowygrouch has some actual information, my eyeballing is ... well, just eyeballing
