Hello.

I'm trying to find some information about this propeller.

From what I've seen, it's an English Rotol propeller. I'm trying to find out what type of aircraft it was mounted on.

I've seen this type of rotor on Hurricanes and even Spitfire MKVs, as well as on a Halifax.

Is there any way to determine what type of engine it was by measuring the reduction gear?

When you look at photos of the Hurricane P3175, it seems the hub is made of brass or another non-ferrous alloy. Were hubs originally made of something other than steel?

I'm answering myself.The pinion has 44 teeth, so a reduction of 0.477, which normally corresponds to a fighter . the bomber had a reduction of 0.42 and 50 teeth.So logically, it's a fighter propeller.

Hello all. After some cleaning if found some number on the rotol hub RA1973. Any idea ??

I saw rotol hub on spit mkV et hurricane Mk II and those are rx5/10 and rx5/12 and are different from this one.
So this one should be a rx5/1-5
fairey battle had dh propeller with metal blade, so It should be hurricane or spitfire < mk II or mk V

Thanks, look like a rx5/11 hub.
Not the same as mine.

I saw hurricane mk I with exactly the same one, spit MkII should have the same also, but I did not find a exemple at this moment.
