Well, since the decals are beyond repair, older than the pyramids as someone here most likely would say, plus still waiting for that blasted mojo to return so that I'll get something done, I'll be looking for different theatres, locations, for these (other then what the instructions say), with the obvious "13" as a base of course!

I must say that 155mm Howitzer was a bit of a surprise, with all the metal and springs and being from the 70's!

The barrels of all these howitzers were typically unpainted metal for better heat dissipation and to prevent paint from interfering with the firing process. Some sources suggest a grey primer coat for corrosion protection, but the finished surface was usually the raw metal.

Left picture is from a '' Colored '' (segregated) unit : certainly the 333rd or 969th Artillery Battalion, that both fought in Normandy and Northern Europe equipped with the M1 howitzer.

Surely they can carry more than 1 ½ ton....!?
