If HMS Ark Royal had been tasked in autumn 1941 to deliver RAF Hawker Hurricanes to Malaya, how many could the carrier deliver in each run?
Ark's lifts cannot fit Hurricanes, so any aircraft intended to be flown off would need to remain on deck, like these below. Though Ark's aft round down will hinder deck parking like the below.
Hurricanes with wings removed or crated aircraft should fit down the lifts. Could the crates have wheels for movement? How quickly could wings be installed for the stowed Hurricanes to be flown off to Singapore? I expect wing install isn't a simple <1 hr job per aircraft. If they can't be flown off, you might as well send them in a freighter.
