info on BF109V1

anyone have any info on the BF109V1 as far as speed, weight and how it comapired to the early Junkers powered 109's im sure the range was nothing special.

ive been kinda brainstorming something sort of a what if.. The what if is ( if the germans would of had problems getting inverted V engines running right) can insert reasons why but im curious if the germans would of had to use the RR kesteral engine in the BF109A how it might of performed.

The Kestrel powered V1 had a range of 440 Km. When it was ferried from Augsburg to Rechlin, 0n 15th October 1935, it had to stop and refuel at Juterborg-Damm, which is of interest because it is the first time a certain Adolph Galland saw the type. Augsburg to Rechlin is about 550 Km as the crow flies.

According to Rechlin the 'equipped weight' of the V1 was 1,404 Kg. The 'take off weight' was 1,800 Kg.

On the first flight after arriving at Rechlin the V1 was badly damaged in a heavy landing. It was returned to Augsburg for repair and eventually sent to Travemunde where it again flew on 26th February 1936. This means that the Jumo powered V2 was available for the 'fly off' with the He 112, having made its first flight on 12th December 1935.

The V1 made many flights at Travemunde, but if anyone has the data from them I've not seen it. It was eventually returned to Augsburg for overhaul (in July 1936) and retained by the company as a testbed. At least one witness says it was eventually pushed behind a hangar and abandoned, before eventually being scrapped.
