IMHO your part could be the oil sump drain cap marked with the yellow arrow (or at least is somewhere in the same area).I have this part that is allegedly from an FW190 and am looking for some information if anyone can help.

Check the attached BMW-801 scheme for the full picture. AFAIK the number 8-190 is the b-number (seen on many parts from the same block/group) and does not correspond to a particular model, variant, sub-variant etc. of the a/c.
Appreciate the assistance and the information!Hi,
The 8-190 code on the tag shows an airframe part (code 8 for airframe) for an Fw 190 type. The full code 8-190 935-0301 is the part number in the Fw 190 parts list. Unfortunately, I do not have that document.
The tag seems to be separated from the cap, so it is not clear that they are originally an item? The words say, OIL, engine sump inlet. The airframe part number ID (8) would indicate that this was an Fw 190 part, rather than a BMW Engine part.

Literally:- Engine sump Lubricant filler cap. NOT drain plugI have this part that is allegedly from an FW190 and am looking for some information if anyone can help. In addition to pictures of the part is a photo that may have been the FW190 the part was removed from.
All of the information about this part and photo I have is hearsay so please take all of this with a grain of salt. Supposedly the photo was taken at Laon-Anthies Advanced Landing Ground A-69 between 10/44 and 2/45. Before the airfield was captured by the US Army in September 44, it was during the time frame of 12/43-2/44 the base for Schlachtgeschwader 4 (SG4) that flew FW190s. Supposedly the plane was shot down there around the same 10/44 - 2/45 time frame. But I'm thinking it may have been damaged in battle while SG4 was stationed there, written off by the Germans and used for parts, only to later be abandoned.
I see on the disc the number 8-190. Could that refer to FW190A8? I looked up the tail number on the plane in the photo and based upon the number and reference on this site think it may have been built at Focke Wulf Cottbus. If this is incorrect please let me know.
What I would like to know if anyone can tell, did this part come from an FW190 and if so is there any way to tell if it came specifically from the FW190 in the picture? If it is, then based on the tail number of the plane in the picture can anyone share any information on this aircraft's history? Any information, assistance or suggestions, links to websites to look for more information, all would be much appreciated.

Excellent post Tony! Here you go, both .301 and .302. from Fw190 A ETL KG 07 Triebwerkverorgung document.
That is amazing! Thank you! Here you go, both .301 and .302. from Fw190 A ETL KG 07 Triebwerkverorgung document.
Thanks for your replies and the information provided!Further to these two valves purposes. The Fw 190 A Handbuch describes the forward one as for pre very cold start charging with hot engine oil into the engine (oil pump etc). The other valve is for the same reason but leads the hot oil into the oil thermostat and the Pipes, tank/cooler system.
Details of the requirements for this proceedure are in the Fw 190 A Aircraft operating instructions, FLUGZEUGBETRIEBSANLEITUNGEN.
