Is this a P38 plug ?

Dear all,

on the place where Paul Miller belly landed his P38 on 5 March 1944 in the South West of France, we found this plug.

Is there anyone around able to confirm whether (or not) it belongs to a P38?

First I would use an ultrasonic cleaner to remove any internal dirt and get a better idea of what it is like internally.

If it is a plug look for a part number and look in this book for it. Then try and find a P-38 manual and look in the wiring diagrams. In some ways it looks like a radio plug but the orange part suggests otherwise.

yes, thanks, but the challenge is that there is no part number.

Who knows somebody around having recently restaured a P38 ?

Almost any restored P-38 will have modern radios and be totally rewired with modern wire and plugs.
My apologies on that book I posted - I thought it had all the plug diagrams. I will look to see what I can find you.

Hi everybody around
is there anyone knowing somebody who restored a genuine P38 and who would be able to say "yes this is a P38 plus" or "no this is not..".
Don't we have among our readers a friend of a WWII P38 owner ? ("glacier girl"..)
