The attached photo shows a British low level bombsight Mk III fixed in the bombaimer's position. The aircraft is highly likely to be a Coastal Command or Bomber Command WW2 model but could be later or in a Middle Eastern/Far East aircraft. I don't see any identifying parts for a Sunderland.

Can anyone identify the aircraft type please?

As memo serves the bombsight was used with many types of the aircraft. the DH Mosquito , Avro Lancaster, HP Halifax, Douglas Boston, Avro Shackleton. Judging by the shape of the front glass and the few details seen in there I would say that's the Bomb Aimer station of the Avro Shackleton. Below the station with the De Havilland Aircraft Company Ltd. bombsight MK.III seen.
