Many of the Stuka units were withdrawn from the western front and MTO in early '41 for the Eastern Front.Yes and they were using earlier versions before that. I believe it was due to the fighting in Sicily and Italy that they decided they had to phase out the Stuka, at least in the West. Several Ju 87 units transitioned directly to Fw 190s. I think the Stuka lasted a bit longer on the Eastern Front.
