I have been chasing information on this aircraft ever since I heard stories from my Dad about snorkeling over the wreck in the 1950s. It was recovered in 1954 with remains of crew on board. It was situated 800 meters off the coastline of Ostia, and roughly 3 kilometers South of the mouth of the Tiber River.
I have information that this aircraft may have been a Ju-88 from 7./LGI. Pilot FW. Alfred Lackner + crew of three reported M.I.A. This may have been a JU-88 also reported missing the evening of January 29/1944 in the "area of Anzio/Nettuno".
A combat report from 600 SQ outlines a kill by Beaufighter IV, V8388, in that exact area on January 29/1944, at 18:00. The Beaufighter crew identified the aircraft as a Do-217. V8388 claimed one Do 217 damaged, and one Do-217 shot down that evening. A second party later confirmed the damaged claim as a kill. A news reel of the recovery exists, and I have included images from it. I have also included an RAF reconnaissance image of the area in question, and Beaufighter V8388.

Cheers
