Re Luftwaffe parachute.
The last pics you posted are almost certainly from a later war back pack 'chute, a little like the American B4 Type pack. One of the shots shows what appears to be the closing pin, which would be attached to the steel 'Bowden' type cable of the 'rip cord'. Judging by the style of the harness webbing, and what look like the fastening clips, this looks like one of the poorer quality rigs issued, I believe, from about mid to late '44. Having done 502 jumps myself, including freefall, I wouldn't have wanted to use one of those rigs. With a rapid or hard opening of the canopy the harness often hada tendency to rip apart, meaning that the airman and the parachute canopy took separate routes to the ground! Hope this has helped.
