Hello, i do not find a MIG 15 thread. I wanted to ask if anyone has an ideea on where to find MIG 15 manufacturing drawings/blueprints. Like rudder, canopy structure, landing gear doors etc.
Thanks

And correctly, it's "MiG-15".

The MiG-15 was not derived from the Ta 183. There's no need to repeat this well-known myth here.
But it was derived from what jet now ?

Saab 29 Tunnan ?

It was started in 1945.

I thought it was a reverse engineered RR Nene centrifugal engine !

I thought so too...it was Mig-9 that used reverse engineered BMW 003s.

Sorry and thank you.

Yak-15 and 17 used Jumo 004 reverse engineered.

Original development (except for the engine). Some elements from the MiG-9 and I-270.

Doesn't it matter to you that the MiG-15's maiden flight took place nine month earlier?

:rolleyes::)
No because Tunnan was started in 1945.

Where do you think they got the swept wings on it ?

I-270 was nothing like it.

In 1946.
And what do they have in common, besides the fact that they're monoplanes with swept-back wings and a high-mounted tailplane? (Spoiler: NOTHING) They're completely different designs. Using your logic, one could say that all airplanes are simply evolutions of the Wright brothers' aircraft, since they all have wings and an engine.
The Soviets didn't need the Saab - by mid-1949, mass production of the MiG had already begun, and it outperformed the J.29 in virtually every respect; by the time production of the Tunnan began, mass production of the MiG-15bis - with even higher performance characteristics - had already started.
All arguments regarding "which aircraft the MiG-15 was a copy of" stem solely from a lack of knowledge of the facts.

The USSR conducted its own research into swept-wing designs, for which it had the necessary facilities (wind tunnels), and several experimental gliders and aircraft were built. Undoubtedly, the results of German research could have been utilized, though to what extent is difficult to say; personally, I believe it was very limited.
I-270 was nothing like it.
The I-270 was used to test high-mounted tailplanes and to refine a two-part fuselage design with a mid-section joint for easier engine maintenance.

Design work on the IAe-27a Pulqui II began after the MiG-15 had already made its first flight.
Yup....and is nothing like Ta-183....which was not Kurt tank design in the first place ( Hans Multhopp )...it ( Pulqui 2 ) was ugly as ****. Surely Tank was over seeing the design.

Where did you get that nonsense from? I-310 flew with a Rolls-Royce Nene
