MIG 15 (3 Viewers)

I thought it was a reverse engineered RR Nene centrifugal engine !

The first batch of MiG-15's had genuine RR Nene engines built by RR in Britain.

The second batch of MiG-15's had licence built RR Nene engines

The remaining batches of MiG-15's had the Russian VK-1 engines derived from the Nene and fitting in the same space. The VK-1 has more mass air flow, more power and lasts four times as long between HSI's 300 hrs instead of 75 hrs.

Hello, i do not find a MIG 15 thread. I wanted to ask if anyone has an ideea on where to find MIG 15 manufacturing drawings/blueprints. Like rudder, canopy structure, landing gear doors etc.
Thanks

I posted my English language MiG-15 manuals (printed in Moscow) some time back on this forum. Search the forum and you will find them.

I cannot repost them as they are among the hundreds of manuals I lost with my computer crash.

Well guys initially i was asking for drawings (original ''copies'') or blueprints. Arguing might get some nice tech details... Anyone in Poland? Or Russia?
Thank you.
I'm sorry to see that your thread has been well-and-truly hijacked. Also that some folks don't understand what blueprints (or manufacturing drawings) are. It's the same when you ask for primary source data and get the reply "I googled it".

However I think MiTasol's manuals may help but I also hope you get some genuine responses elsewhere. It might be worth posting a new thread to avoid the noise presented here.

Could you please cite your source? As far as I know, the English-built Nene engines were installed exclusively on prototype aircraft. Production MiG-15s were already equipped with Soviet-built RD-45F engines.

All Soviet copies of the Nene were produced in violation of the licensing agreement.

Many people understand perfectly well what "assembly blueprints" are. But they also realize that those who possess such blueprints (and I suspect there are very few of them) are unlikely to scan them just to share with enthusiasts. Illustrations from technical manuals are not blueprints. I can refer to a couple of issues of Russian-language aviation magazines that contain MiG-15 drawings (but not blueprints!), but they're unlikely to be suitable for the purposes of the topic starter.

So as I said, hopefully someone can provide blueprints (or production drawings); those who know will know, and have shared in the past.
