My final Christmas present to myself arrived. I plan on using this for my educational displays.
An authentic 1938 Referendum Ballot for the Austrian Anschluss (Austria's inclusion into the German Reich. Notice how the "yes vote" also a vote for Hitler is so much bigger than the "no vote"
This is an example of a WW2 Japanese enlisted Kessenfuku, or "Decisive Battle," uniform jacket made of wool. Introduced in 1945 the kessenfuku was meant for use defending the home islands if and when invaded. Because manufacturers used cheaper materials, many variations in cloth and color exist. Buttons on kesenfuku were often made of wood, tin or even baked clay. Both wool and lightweight cotton versions were produced.
Something a little unusual, an original menu from the Roosevelt Field Airport. Used by the US Army Air Forces during WWI and WWII. It was the launch point for Lindbergh and many other aviators on their flights into history.
Latest addition. WW1 US Army 1st Infantry Division M1910 Tunic. With dog tags and overseas cap. Named with service record/information. Need to order some more mannequins.
