WW2 Japanese Kessenfuku Jacket
This is an example of a WW2 Japanese enlisted Kessenfuku, or "Decisive Battle," uniform jacket made of wool. Introduced in 1945 the kessenfuku was meant for use defending the home islands if and when invaded. Because manufacturers used cheaper materials, many variations in cloth and color exist. Buttons on kesenfuku were often made of wood, tin or even baked clay. Both wool and lightweight cotton versions were produced.
