More He 111s, less Ju88s?

For one thing Heinkel factories were producing Ju88s historically, so having Heinkel focus on their own designs would increase He111 output, especially as that factory produced both He111s and Ju88s under the same roof, so there would have been some economies of scale by just focusing on He111s.

Also most of Ju88 production was at non-Ju88 facilities, so having them tool earlier for He111s would be possible due to the design being ready for production in its P series by 1938 and H series by Spring 1939. Dornier for instance produced Ju88s; have them phase out the Do17 in 1938 as was planned for the Ju88 historically, but just for the He111. So we get He111s instead of Do17s, which is a much better trade, as the He111s had better range, defensive firepower, payload, speed, etc.

AFAIK the Dornier works switched over to Do217s historically anyway in 1941.

Historical Ju-88 design specifications weren't issued until August 1935. If you want Ju-88 production ready a year earlier then issue aircraft specifications during August 1934 rather then piddling around with Ural Bomber.

You've got to walk before you can run. Let Junkers prove they can build a twin engine bomber before telling them to design a four engine bomber.

Heinkel Rostock produced as many He 111 as Junkers assembled Ju 88 in Bernburg, only the license production of the Ju 88 made the difference (facs switched from He 111). Heinkel Oranienburg made Ju 88, not the main factory in Rostock.
With some rare exception Heinkel delivered 100+ He 111 per month from July 41 to July 44

1939: 1400 He 111 vs 110 Ju 88
1940: 827 He 111 vs 2184 Ju 88
1941: 930 He 111 vs 2619 Ju 88
->Ju 88 production is all variants, several hundred recons built in 40/41

It should be clear that the 1400 number for the He111 in 1939 is the accumulated total of all He111s built to that point. The production total once the war started in September was 452.

No, total number built in 1939. If the 452 is asumed to be correct for September to December (4 months) it's easy to calculate this for the whole year, the 1400 does not seem to be wrong.
