My uncle was a flight instructor at Pensacola during World War II. What type of aircraft would he have been flying at that time?

It depends. These are what are in my Dad's logbook (1941).
Primary: N2S and N3N
VS-VO: OS2U and SOC
Advanced: SNJ and SNV
Instrument: SNJ
Seaplane: PBY,

What was your Uncle's name?

Jonathan Horne

Welcome Magoo - just finished flight training down there in Pensacola (well NAS Whiting Field in Milton, FL to be exact which is 30 miles away).
