Hello, looking for pics of US fighters being boresighted. Particularly looking for pics of cradles and hoists/jigs and tools used in the process. Any documentation on the process would be appreciated as well.

I did find that picture as well. I know I've got at least one book with some pictures of the process, but cannot remember which one, and it woudl take years to page through them all.
Thanks for the link, I'll look it over when I get some time.

Buck:

I found a couple more pic's, at home, of boresighting P-51's. I'll scan
them tonight and put them up for you.

Great, I did find a few p-47 rigged up on-line via some creative Google seach phrases. Hope to see your pictures later.
Would like to find an armaments/service manual to have the process explained in more detail, but am afraid that may be hard to come by.

Hello Buck:

Here's the two pic's I found in a mag (Aviation History) at home.

Enjoy

Hello Buck:

Enjoy

I think the caption on the 352FG Mustang is a month off. They started getting their P-51s in April 8-15 period.

Here are two from 354FS/355FG at Steeple Morden
