I'm doing research for a story but I can't find any info on the maximum speed to extend the landing gear on a P-36/ Hawk 75 A. I know modern aircraft have published limits, but none of the technical data I've found on the P-36 mentions it. Does such a number exist? If not, what airspeed would be a reasonable assumption?

I couldn't find any info via search, so apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere. Also, I didn't see a relevant subsection in the technical section, so please let me know if I have posted this in the wrong place. Thanks.

On the nameplate(3.25x6) : raised bright letters & border on red background, it was written:
"WARNING
1 - do not lower wing flaps or release flare above 140mph
or lower landing gear or cowl flaps above 175mph"

Translation in french for french Hawk 75.

In my post above it's the text on name plate for french H75A1 and A2,
but I found another name plate on french A1 A2, you can read
"LORSQUE LA VITESSE DEPASSE 225KM/H. NE PAS
SORTIR LE TRAIN, NE PAS BAISSER LES VOLETS, NE PAS
LARGUER LES BOMBES ECLAIRANTES"
when the speed is above 225km/h(140mph), do not lower the landing gear,
do not lower the wing flaps, do not release flares

Any chance of a link to that Photographic spare part catalog H75A1 & 2?

Or better still a copy posted to this site???

Your models of the Iranian H87 and MS 405 are superb and I recommend everyone follow the two links in your post. I am extremely jealous of your craftsmanship.
