43-6274 mounted in Frederick, OK post WWII. I'm looking for high resolution image of this picture. Any other pictures during its military history would be appreciated as well.

Its a fabulous photo!
Despite being on a pole, it looks like it has an authentic inservice scheme...the Air Transport Command patch on the rear fuselage is quirky.
As it was very late in the P-51A production, and the C an B models were coming into service, it strongly suggests this was allocated as a hack, 'hours' aircraft or personal transport to Air Transport Command.

Bet there is an unusual story behind this one :)

Have you tried getting in touch with www.aerialvisuals.ca?
The version they have on their website is not great but it is clearer. Aerial Visuals - Airframe Photo Viewer

The Warbirds link tell us the Frederick Army Airfield was a bomber training field and mentions TV personality George Goebel was an instructor there.
His comment on the Johnny Carson show in response to what he did in the war was, "I was in the Army Air Force stationed in Oklahoma and proud to say no Japanese plane got past Oklahoma."
